Daycare teachers thank Mayor Lazatin for quick action against HFMD

Daycare teachers across the city have expressed their heartfelt appreciation to Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. for the swift disinfection of daycare centers to prevent the spread of Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease (HFMD).

Marina G. Pintero of EPZA 1 shared, “This initiative is a huge help to daycare workers in keeping our students safe.”

Josephine T. Razon of Magsaysay CDC echoed the sentiment, stating, “It will help prevent contagious diseases from spreading among the children.”

Mitchell Guinto of Pulung Maragul CDC added, “Thank you, Mayor Pogi Lazatin, for your continued support of daycare workers and for disinfecting our centers. This is a big help, especially in protecting the kids from HFMD.”

Alma G. Sinamban of Abacan Day Care Center thanked the mayor, saying, “Your support is invaluable, especially now as HFMD is spreading. The disinfection has helped prevent the virus. Thank you for caring for our children’s health!”

Dolores A. Guarino of EPZA 2 CDC appreciated Mayor Lazatin’s fast response, saying, “We’re grateful for Mayor Lazatin’s quick action in disinfecting daycare centers to protect the kids from HFMD. Thank you, Mayor!”

The Sta. Trinidad DCC also expressed their thanks, saying, “The disinfection has been a great help in preventing the spread of viruses and bacteria like HFMD. Thank you, Mayor Pogi Lazatin!”

The Sitio Pader CDC also voiced their appreciation, saying, “Thank you, Mayor, for quickly disinfecting our daycare centers. Parents can now send their children with peace of mind. God bless you!”

Myrna G. Reyes of Baby Huey DCC highlighted that this is not the first time Mayor Lazatin has prioritized health, saying, “Mayor Pogi’s protocols for disinfection help reduce the risk of disease transmission. He’s always been concerned about the well-being of our children, even during the pandemic.”

Lerma Zabala Sagun of Little Star Daycare Center also expressed her gratitude: “Thank you, Mayor, for responding quickly to health protocols, especially with the disinfection. It will help prevent the spread of viruses.”

Nelia C. Dizon of Sunset CDC joined in saying, “We’re so grateful to Mayor Lazatin for quickly disinfecting our daycare centers. It helps ensure the safety of our students.”

Jocelyn E. Miller of Subic Daycare Center also thanked the mayor, saying, “Your quick action in disinfecting daycare centers ensures the safety of our children. Thank you so much, Mayor!”

Belinda L. Cuntapay of Holy Spirit II Pandan DCC said, “Thank you, Mayor, for disinfecting our daycare. It’s a big help in protecting the children from diseases like HFMD. You’re truly supportive. Salute, Mayor Pogi Lazatin!”

Lastly, Gaynie M. Cabrera of Amsic 1 Day Care Center highlighted the importance of the initiative: “Disinfecting our daycare centers is a big help in ensuring the safety of our students. HFMD is a serious disease, and we thank you, Mayor, for your fast response!”

Mayor Lazatin has consistently prioritized the health and safety of young learners in Angeles City, ensuring that every child has a clean, secure environment in which to learn and grow.

On February 3, 2025, the disinfection effort was led by teams from the Angeles City Barangay Outreach, under Michael Lising; the Angeles City Environment and Natural Resources Office, headed by Jenifer Castro; and the Environmental Management System and Angeles City Traffic Development Office, under Kiko Pangilinan. The disinfection activities were supervised by Chief Adviser IC Calaguas and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel.
