The Angeles City Government, led by Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II, continues to strengthen programs and services for children, women, and vulnerable families through enhanced inter-agency collaboration and capacity-building initiatives.

Members of the Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC), Local Committee on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and Their Children (LCAT-VAWC), and the City Advisory Committee for the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) recently convened for their 2nd Quarter Joint Committee Meeting and Capacity-Building Activity.
The meeting aimed to further improve coordination among government offices to ensure the effective delivery of programs and services that promote the welfare and protection of children, women, and disadvantaged families in the city.
During the session, participants reviewed ongoing child protection programs, anti-human trafficking and anti-violence initiatives, and updates on the implementation of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps). Future plans and strategies were also discussed to strengthen social welfare programs for Angeleños.
The activity also featured a capacity-building seminar designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of participants, enabling them to implement programs more effectively and promote equality, human rights, and inclusive community development.
The city government remains committed to advancing programs that protect and empower sectors requiring greater support as part of its goal of building a safe, inclusive, and progressive community for all Angeleños.
