The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) reported significant improvements in the performance of Converge ICT Solutions Inc. following its second-quarter business review under the agency’s Oplan Bantay Signal initiative.
During the meeting with Converge Chief Executive Officer Dennis Anthony Uy and the company’s management team, the DICT said no city was classified under the “danger zone” for service performance during the quarter.
The agency also noted an 84% decline in customer complaints since January, while Converge emerged as the country’s leader in fixed broadband speed, including upload speeds that are increasingly essential for video conferencing, remote work, and cloud-based services.
Despite the positive performance, the DICT said discussions also focused on areas where service reliability can still be improved to ensure more consistent connectivity for consumers nationwide.
The department thanked Uy and the Converge team for their cooperation and commitment to continuously enhancing internet services, emphasizing the government’s goal of providing reliable and high-quality connectivity for every Filipino.
